Profit Donation

Be the Bay believes strongly in giving back to the Chesapeake Bay community in appreciation of their support for us, and in putting our money where our mouth is. This is why we donate 10% of our profits to support Chesapake Bay restoration.

Be The Bay accepts applications from civic, educational, or other non-profit group in the Chesapeake Bay watershed to conduct restoration. Proposals are accepted annually beginning December 2008. Our board, comprised of people from various backgrounds reviews all proposals and announces decisions by March 15th. Funding priorities include community involvement in restoration activities, viability of project, and local impact. Successful applicants will be featured on our website, along with a summary of their project, and pictures of projects underway.
