Explorer Series Shirts - Skipjack

These 100% heavy-weight coton t-shirts are garment dyed and very soft. They feature our signature Skipjack icon on the front and information about what makes Skipjacks speacial to Chesapeake Bay on the back.  Available in Washed Red and White in sizes S-XXL.

Text on the back of the shirt reads: "An icon of the Chesapeake Oyster industry, Skipjacks first appeared on the Bay in the late 1800s. These graceful workboats were designed to work Bay oyster bars. They have a shallow draft and enough sail to pull two oyster dredges. As oyster populations have declined, so have Skipjack sightings. The ones that remain are part of the only commercial sailing fleet in the USA."
